Separators

Separators perform a vital function in the analysis of both onshore and offshore wells in providing on site decision makes critical information to evaluate well performance and facilitate efficient extraction of oil & gas.  Test separators are designed to detect flow rates of oil and gas at one well, or flow line at a time.

A typical test separator is comprised of a pressurized vessel, relief valves and a multi metering system. Sample points provide access for analysis of the separated oil, gas and water components.

The production of each well can be accurately determined using this method (Allocation measurement).To meet process requirements, test separators are normally designed in stages and can be grouped into:

Separate the liquid (water + oil) from the gas, measures each phase, takes a sample of the liquid phase, and then recombines the phases into a pipeline or production facility.
